 Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to have an opinion from CA Final Students and CAs whether one can clear the Finals in one attempt both groups, on self study (without any coaching or any kind of external help)?

It is because my scenario is such that I have no time to take coaching classes..

I hv just cleared my PCC in june 09 (both grps) (single attempt)

Dear Shrihari,

I am not a fiit person to comment on the same but practical coaching is definitely not required for

MICS,Advanced Auditing,Company and Allied Laws. For other subjects you please evaluvate yourself

whether you have such ability to do on your own since you clearly said attending classes is ruled out.

Buy good books for each subject  and everything is possible if you have the guts and will to do it.

All  the best and my best wishes

Yes, one can clear in 1st attempt without coaching........but you will have to start practical subjects early as it takes more time to clear concepts and sometimes you need to refer 2-3 books in practical because what happens is that few chapters are explained well in one book and few in others. Other papers you can manage without much difficulty. Paper which require much attention and early study are A/cs, FM, Costing, DT.

There are person who cleared all stages of CA curriculum in 1st attempt without any coaching. But you need to be very serious and punctual in your studies.

It is but human tendency to work not according to the plans and time table created by self sometimes.. In taking such decisions as not taking "any" coaching, such variotions need to be taken into consideration. Being at the last leg of the course. i can tell u what scenario their might be built up by some yrs. down the line while pursuing a course like this....since their is no campus environment and nothing simialar, after some time, student tend to get fed up this scenerio....i regard u will be busy in ur training but ur thrust should certainly be on finishing the course first, training is the parallel knowledge....One takes coaching not out of any inability or lack of litteracy, but more out of framing a good time system during a day timely compeletion of course by proper spread of consciousness towards every subject.,, atleast the subjects like Direct tax and accounts and cost do find their names at the priority list for classes. classes along with direction, provide enough material which can delimit the extent of resources of knowledge one needs to hve b4 sitting for exams............In any case, decision must be taken after consulting all those who hve either cleard it or on the last leg of it.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the problem of wriggleing time from the busy schedule, sometime traunts can well do...........

 Dear Friends,

In midst of  all the hue and cry of  student/working student---Still about 50% of the students clear exam without coaching------as pointed out  coaching is  a help to quick pace with studies--but not a panacea for passing the exam. Determination, focus, consistency and passion  along with hard work pays in clearing the exam. Discipline and consistency are must. Hours of study and discontinuance of studies for sometime/month is not going to stop you. Fire in belly is prerequisite for success.
