if the assessee does not mention the break up of tax amount, surcharge, education cess and sec education cess in the TDS challan does it attract any violation of Income tax act or any other Act.s der any penalty for the same...pl reply...urgent...

Seggregation of amounts in TDS challans

Dear Barani,
Technically amount collected as Surchrge, Education cess and higher secondary education cess goes to respective account.
In case asesee fails to give break-up Bank are advice to make the break-up of respective items to respective accounts.
Also there are softwares (Finacle) in which such calculation are made automatically.
