I have a 2006 edition module. In it, the securities contrat (regulation) rules 1957, are given under Chapter VII - Stock Exchanges. Try to find corresponding chapter in your new module, you will get the answer.
Else refer the attached file of Securities Contract Rules, i think answer to your question is on Pg-9

Q.Abhay's agricultural land was purchased by the government for the purpose of construction of a factory but no duty was paid for this transfer by the government. Abhay wanted to take back his land on the ground that gov. has not paid the duty and, therefore no sale deed was executed. will abhay succeed?
give reasons.-- - from test papers 5/2009 of GCL-CS executive

I think the answer should be NO. i.e. abhay can't take land back on ground that Govt. has not paid the duty. You will find the provisions on a thorough study of Chapter - Law relating to Stamps.
Under heading "Instruments Chargeable with duty" in chapter you will find exceptions i.e.
No duty shall be chargeable in respect of -
Any instrument executed by or on behalf of or in favour of the Govt. , in cases where, the Government would be liable to pay the duty chargeable in respect of such document.
Thus Govt. is not liable to pay duty, hence deed cant be assumed as not-executed on non payment of duty by Govt.
I would advise you to post your query at forum, to get answers from other members.

Excise on sale of land! Excise is a tax levied on manufacture and production of certain goods & it has no linkage with sale of land. Anyway you will learn more about it when you will prepare for IDT in second group.
Regarding your new question I think you will get its answer in Chapter CODE of Civil Procedure under heading Setoff & Counter Claims.

Ok...so a shift from Law to A/c. A/c is not among my favourites but still here is my opinion on these quest.
1. As the name suggests Service Costing deals with sectors providing services i.e. the sectors which dont deal in physical production of goods or the goods provided by them is of intangible nature which are better known as services. Hence assuming that in the statement 'GOODS' refers tangible goods.; I think the statement is FALSE.
2. I think rent on own building is taken as opportunity cost in costing. For exp. The building in which you are running your business, if let out, will give you a monthly rent of 10,000. This 10,000 should be considered as opportunity cost. So this statement should also be FALSE
Plz discuss the satements with your friends before having a final conclusion

I myself had undergone complete 70 hrs.training from NIIT. Now I think you have to register with Aptech. As far as I know, if you apply for online test, you will be given 2 chances within 30 days to clear the test. on payment of Rs. 450/- + tax.
I am not sure that whether the exam will be taken within 30 days from registration or not but once the first exam is taken and unfortunately you dont clear then you will have to appear for second attempt within 30 days.
Regarding your query to pay full amount, i think here full amount refers to 450 + S.T. and not 3,000/- i.e. if you dont clear in 2 attempts then again pay 450/-+Tax and get 2 fresh attempts.
Here i am giving link of FAQ on ICSI-Aptech. You will get information about your query. In case of further doubts contact the number given in Quest. 13. or contact the aptech centre in your city.
