To avail Sec 80G rebate the payment of Gift money (donation)should be by cheque (for the Gift above Rs.2000). If I donate Rs.40000 through NEFT, will it be treated as cheque payment and can I avail the 80G rebate?

Online payments also will be allowed as deduction if receipt is avay
