what is implications if wrong sec selected while filing ITR ....i.e. sec 142(1) is selected insted of sec 139

every sections have its own different meaing

ito or cpc deal with return as per mention section

go for Rectification under Section 154(1) or revise return if possible

or write to ito

thanks......retuen was belates hence it couldn't be revised........what action will be taken by deparrment if i do nothing.....
