Section 184 ca 2013

Dear All, Can a director of a company whether private or public can participate and vote in resolution in Board meeting for his appointment as managing director and remuneration in terms of section 184(2) of the Companies Act 2013. As this section prohibits dircetor in participating in board meeting only contract with any other body corporate or firm in which director is interested as given u/s 184(2). Thanks
