As per the provisions of section 165 of the Act all kinds of companies be included in total number of 20 companies . The Act does not grant any exemption of any kinds of comapnies to be included in this total number of companies. Regards

The question is whether the non-profit company under section 8 will be included within the limit of 20 companies . The answer to that question is YES. The noitification does not exempt non profit company to be inlcuded within the limit of 20 companies , but exempts the provisions of "limit of 20 companies" for the directors for non-profit companies. This meant that the limit of 20 comapnies does not apply to the directors of non-profit companies.Turst this will clarify the matter. Regards Krishan Singla
