While calculating Standard Error of Sample mean we use : S/√n
But in some situation we also use S/√n-1.
What is the difference in both, I mean in what situation, we should use these formulas. Please help me out.

if it is assumed that data given is of population thn 1 one wil be used n if it is assumed that data is given of sample thn 2 one will be used
