Sir, I would like to know en try for Cash sales.I am running a small fast food which I sell against cash only.Say my daily Cash sales is 3000.What would be the entry and how to enter in Tally9..

To sales..

Simply a direct entry can b made, if u r recording all purchases well....

Dear Learner,

The entry is to be passed as a sales entry for which you need to go to the gateway of tally then into accounting vouchers then press F8 u will get the sales entry mode activated then pass the fllowing entry.

CASH A/C ...DR

TO SALES A/C.

PASS THIS ENTRY AT THE END OF EVERY DAY WITH THE TOTAL RECEIPT.

First open Tally - Select Company (F1) - Accounting Vouchers (V) - Sales (F8) - Type Invoice No or Bill No - Change the Date (F2) - Then, By Cash Sales or Cash A/c Dr 3000.00 To Sales A/c Cr 3000.00 Narration : Being Goods sold to Mr.X.
