Follow this link, you will be able to access the union budgets from the A.Y 1996- 97 in which you will be able to find out the income tax rates , rest i am trying my best to find ou the income tax slab rates for the A.y previous to A.Y 96-97. https://indiabudget.nic.in/previousub.htm
