In salary slip no where basic salary mentioned but there is written pay band, can we treat payband as basic salary?

Generally, a component of grade pay is also added to payband to get your basic salary. You can add the two and that sum would be equal to your basic salary. However, if you have a nil grade pay, you can treat the pay band as your basic.

If your PF was deducted every month by the employer, based on what amount was your PF deducted, that can also indicate you your monthly basic salary.

if your PF deducted every month is 12% of payband, then payband = basic salary.
