Tax queries 4663 views 2 replies

Hello,

A Chartered Accountant in practice has employed a person on salary paying Rs.15000 per month(Rs.180000 annually). Now, what are the compliances with regards deductions to be made... Provident Fund, Profession Tax etc.?

Also, what happens if the salary is Rs.25000 per month? TDS will be deducted in this case I know but what about Provident Fund, Profession Tax etc.?

Slab rates in Maharashtra are a little different. Anyways, is it compulsory to deduct Profession Tax in all cases?

And what about Provident Fund?
