list is big.like Medical reimbursement, HRA, transportation allowance, some deduction u/s 80C etc.

Expenses cannot be claimed incase of salary.But you are eligible to claim deductions under various sections for eg.u/s.80C on notified investments such as PF, Insurance Premium paid, school fees of children etc.And by the way, Loss from House property CANNOT be set off against "Salaries".

I apologise to Mr.Jimin, Mr.Saurabh, Mr.Srinivas Sharma, Mr.Ritesh Khandelwal. I failed to answer the question in a proper way. Current year House property loss can be setoff against current year's salary, but brought forward House property loss CANNOT be setoff against current year's salary. Thanking you people for the response.

Hi!
Sriram Only Loss from house property can be set off against salary income but if r asking about the salary Planning then u/s 80c u can took benefit of Upt Rs.100000/-By investing In insurence, Mutual fund(having lock in period three yrs. or elss),Bond,NSS etc.
u/s80D u can claim uptoRs.15000/- medical insurence premium paid.
u/s80G u can claim the Donation paid to various govt. non govt. NGO's depends on 50% or 100% benefit.
& further u have provide in detail exactly what u want to know?

Well if ur question is for exps (like bank chgs, interest paid for loan ) then no exps are allowed as deduction from salary incoem. As suggested by others that loss under HP, Medical reimbursement, HRA, etc. they are correct

That is the main problem yaar, we can not claim any expense. Only House Property Loss will be allowed as deduction.
