Rules of secondment and industrial training

Articleship 734 views 1 replies

Hello Guys,

I am about to complete my second year of articleship by the end of October 2014. I have been selected for Industrial Training. The company wants me to join by 1st of Oct, 2014. As per the rules, I am eligilbe for Industrial Training only by the end of Oct or by 1week of Nov 14. So can I take up secondment for a particular period and then covert it into IT keeping in view the min month of 9 months and max of 12 months? But then also there is rule that secondment made in an industry and industrial training, put together,  shold not exceed 12 months. So what should i do? Is there any alternative or only the option of convincing the company stays with me?

Please reply, I require an urgent help on this.

Under regulation 54 , secondment can be done in industry also but it should be not less than 4 months. If you hve good rapport with your CA you can undergo secondment for 12 months but that would not mean transfer and you will still be registered under your current CA. Remaining articleship of 1 month in the end would be under your present CA.
