Every company basically has to file three forms every year with the MCA, Form23AC, 23ACA and 20B, they are mandatory, and in some cases companies having paid up capital above 10,00,000 and that has to be signed by a Company Secretary.
So every year, you basically download the relevant PDFs from the MCA website, https://mca.gov.in/MCA21/dca/downloadeforms/Download_eForm_choose.html , they are in PDF format so make sure you have adobe acrobat installed on your system.
The forms need to be filled with relevant information, you'll get an idea when you go through the form, along with that you need to attach scanned ( and signed ) copies of balance sheet/ PnL account etc etc. The scanned files are attached to the pdf file, usually they increase the size of the the Form a lot, you've to make sure the size does not increase 2.5 MB.
The next step is to get them digitally signed, a lot of companies/firms issue digital signatures based on your identity proof < such as PAN card >. They resemble something like a small pen drive and while signing they need to be attached via USB. Forms usually need to be signed by the directors and the company's chartered accountant.
The MCA portal, has a facility to upload these forms, you need to create a login ID and once you login, you'll see a screen called my documents from where you can upload these forms. Once that's done, you'll need to pay the fees, the challan is generated after uploading and it can be paid via cash or online via netbanking/credit card.
That's about it. Hope it helps!
