Revised itr

Tax queries 292 views 1 replies

Hi,

I filed my return for AY 2013-14 on 21-05-2013. I filed my return and got the ITR-V form in my email and sent the ITR-V to CPC. In the ITR filed, I owed some tax which I had not paid till this point.

On Aug 26, 2013, I got the Income tax Intimation U/S 143(1) which demanded the net tax payable. On the same day, I paid self-assessment tax of the same amount using Challan 280.

However, today I got a letter from ITO asking me to pay the self-assessment tax and submit proof within 3 days.

So now, I filed a revised ITR in which my next tax payable is 0. I will be sending the original and revised ITR-V to CPC tomorrow.

My question: Do I need to submit any proof to ITO, now that I filed revised ITR ?

Thanks,

Nikhil Talreja

Its better that you submit the proof (challan copy, intimation, itrV etc to ITO)
