If I am a registered dealer in MP and stay in a small hotel in UP for business purposes which charges Rs. 6000, then,
1. If the hotel is unregistered, will I have to pay reverse charge on it? If so, will I have to pay IGST or CGST & SGST for UP? But since I don't have registration in UP, how will I pay SGST?
2. Id the hotel is registered as well, will the hotel charge IGST or CGST/SGST? In case of charging of CGST/SGST, will I be able to take credit of CGST but not of SGST?
In case 1 you have to pay cgst sgst on reverse charge mechanism since the place of hotel service is in UP so IGST will not be charged
In case 2 if the hotel is registered then also the place of service is in UP therefore SGST, CGST will paid by hotel
