Can transporter pay service tax of his client on his behalf.......

Yes if good relation matter bewtween transporter & service receiver of transportation but as per Service Tax rule under reverse service mechanisum. Service Receiver only liable to pay Service tax by 100%

The liability should be discharged by person legally liable to pay service tax
