U r asking so stupid Question n u r expecting intelligent reply ... Law clearly says that amount Exceeding 5,000...means it has to be more than 5,000...for 5,000 its not mandatory ..!!! LOL

I have doudt releated to affixe revenue stamp,
Is the trust exempt from affixing the revenue stamp on transaction exceed Rs,5000 or Rs.5000.?
please reply me , regarding what's the liability of the trust for the same...

There is no such requirement in Income Tax Act to affix Revenue Stamp hence ITO cann't refuse on allowing expense, moreover Revenue Stamp affixation give legal validity to any document hence if Revenue Stamp is affixed it become legally valid proof of payment and considered as an valid evidance in court.

SO what is risk implication,if revenue stamp is not affixed by a company on its voucher (Expenses) exceeding Rs.5,000/-.
Is there any penalty or interest under provisions of Indian stamp act.

I have 3 bill on different dates but these bills paid in a single time with a single payment voucher. There is a need to affix revenue stamp
