Sir, in your case there are two probabilities as to why it is showing as Records not found. 1. Your application has not yet reached the concerned department. 2. The staff despite having received your application are yet to update the status of your application as - application received but still under progress ( means the concerned department has to verify your answer sheet)

ICAI exam system is very perfect. Examiner evaluating (answer book valuation ) answer books Answer Key , scheme of valuation and mode of award of step mark will be provided to examiners. Head examiner scrutinizing the correctness of valuation. Checker confirming the valuation. Whether all answers were valued by examiner, duplication if any, extra/additional questions answered, counting of marks, totaling etc. Copy/certified copy of answer books are available to students after paying prescribed fee so as to confirm the above Paper setter, Head paper setter, Examiner, Head Examiner, checker are independent persons. Under this system no chance to differ the marks after verification

Failing after scoring 196 marks really hurts..is there any possibilty of getting passed through revaluation ??

Ya, very hard to digest that result... I got 194.. Hoping so, but as said above the posibility of passing is very very difficult..

The Institute has built in mechanism to have checks and balances, to ensure that the papers are evaluated as per prescribed guideline and also employs Chartered Accoutants to do checking / totalling of answer scriptts.

 

The chances of errors may be minimal, if you still think and bet on your luck, you may apply for re-verification. Once applied forget about the outcome and focus on your November 2015 Examination. If your lucky and stars shine you can rejoice of your success, else just try to forget it at the earliest and do well in the ensuing examination.

its revaluation and not rechecking. And it definitely helped me. I put only Paper1: Accounts for revaluation. i was short of 8 marks of 200 in group1 and had got 56 in accounts. After 2 months i got my revaluation result on April Fool's Day and got 67 in accounts (note: 11 marks wer increased only in one paper) thus clearing group1. So try your luck and just hope for the best.
