Hi, Can anyone please guide me on changes to the old scheme exams CA Final group 1 (for may 2009) since november 2003.

I am plannning to appear for May 2009 exams (CA FInal Grp 1)

the first and last time i appeared for the exam was in november 2003 when i cleared my group 2 after that i have been out of india. I am planning to return and finish what i started. Can anyone guide me a way to get uptodate with what has changed. ??

1. Good Morning, It’s really great to hear that you are mulling sanguinely to restart whatever you have left unfinished.

2. First & Foremost since the chasm of your last attempt & current attempt is more than 5 years, your CA Final Registration needs to be re-validated.

3. Kindly visit the ICAI institute website {Call Centre- 1800228009, Mumbai- 39802945 for more details}.

4. You have to write an application requesting for revalidation + a Pay order/ DD of Rs.500/- as the case may be.

Hi Aditya,

It will be difficult to say what all has changed since 2003, but if you need help with what study material to use perhaps this might be useful...

It might be good idea to get hold of some coaching classes notes for accounts and mafa, whereas for law munish bhandai's latest edition and for audit V K agarwal are quite good

I too have cleared Group 2 and am currently in Australia and will be coming down for the May 09 attempt

Thanks heaps for your help, can anyone tell me when were the last modules for CA final printed. the ones i have got is dated Septemebr 2006. And also for the registration and completing the forms do i need to be physically present in india ?
