03 June 2009I have seen lot of discussion against the CAs and ICAI by the students. If you have any problem in this profession during your articleship, please talk in a respectful manner about all the CAs, ICAI and all ICAI faculty. The way you are giving your comments on this website is not good. I don't expect this from CA students.

Hi Sir,
Be cool and healthy, If some one get hurt, he has the right of saying. Don't bother about the comments.
No one want to make nonsense comments.
Still if you think some one does, it doesn't matter.
Even I was made a lots of comments on my principal CA, when I was under articles.
We have made comments on our teachers, when we were in schools, on professors and lecturers, when we were in college and even on our boss, when we were in articles.... Its true that we as a human being make comments on other human being.
Your views are your personal view, mine of me, and someone else has his own views, we can not force our views on them.
We can suggest, tell our views, guide, advise or teach but we should not tug ourselves on the students.
You are somewhat right that many students making senseless comments, see these are in a age of 17 to 22, don't even have practical knowledge and don't know that what is life... they have not yet started the actual journey of life, how could you expect a high professional dignity from them !!!
I request you to forgive me if some words or sentence feel hurtle to you. I also request you to forgive commenters.

Sir can u imagine....someone has made a comment........agar mera bas chalta then I WILL KILL CA UTTAM PRAKASH. can you expect these type of comments from CA student.

Unless we allow others to discuss what they want to and allow them to speak freely even in this forum, then there is no point being a member of this forum.....yes, one thing i can say that being in a dignified profession......we should avoid abusive language and making personal comments...but, yes, when some people have the source and get articleships in good big firms, they dont understand the problems a student from a small town or village can face, i have seen people laughing in the GMCS classes at a person who has passed CA and come from a small village because he could not speak properly...thts ridiculous, we should learn to respect our Institute and fellow members and colleagues.......but, yes as far as problems are concerned....we are here to share and discuss.......even i had said the person whose ideas were implemented in bringing PE-II and articleship after passing PE-II and completing Compulsory Computer Training was wrong.........we know that after becoming members....we think all the students are idiots....but in our student life we had also done the same thing....but, we forget quickly what we did wrong and remember what other did wrong more often. I have recently passed CA after lots of struggle and still awaiting membership..........so, i know being from a small town...what it really feels like.............any adverse comments are invited......bcoz everybody is free to make comments.......but in adignified manner

The articleship rule was necessay for the following reason
but during past 2 years i have seen students who dont care about the work of the office..in last 2 years i have seen many articles who did no work...slept in bank and revenue audits....went to hostel for lunch for an hour between 2 pm and 3 pm daily...took leaves for 5 days many times...and just didnt respect their seniors...and when the our Principal asked them whether there was any problem they just said they wanted Transfer....So should the Principal teach the articles for 2 years and should then the articles desert him??? shouldnt they teach what learnt during 2 years to their juniors??? I donot mean anything against anyone but to be vary serious even during 2 years i cannot say "i have learnt everything here and i want transfer now"

Did the institute or the CA come to u when u went for articleship ????
Show some respect at least....
everyone has their own voices ...i respect that but some tough decisions have to be taken and i personally think that the ICAI and Mr agarwal has done the rite thing...

If the students dont care for the office work.......how come they stayed in that office for 2 years.......thts a ridiculous comment.........if the Principal is not strict and he allows these things to happen........its his fault..........and not the articles..........students are prone to amusements and time pass.......it depends on the person under whose control they are.........its his responsibilty to guide the students.........and for your kind information...........ICAI or the members will never walk to you.........but they have work......so they have to keep you or not keep you.......its up to them........i really dont understand what you are trying to suggest Mr.KzN.........you need to be first clear in your own mind.

Those are studend of age group 18-22 they are "YOUNGISTAN" they have more energy more passion more aggression, sometimes they show it wrong place, in wrong way, as we are d elder one we have to understand their frame of mind try to tackle them in friendly way, we can not order them.
as far as this compulsory articleship is concern i m totally against it. i hv also started a threadagainst this. more and more people are wathin it.

Dear Harsh Sir,
What i was trying to say that students in our office ( i do not mean the whole students of India),, i mean some cases .... all they did was just "complete articleship" ....In pune where i stay...there are tution classes ...they are very popular classes...there students are sent home if they do not complete the homework given on previous day...... so from what i have seen a colleague of mine..he used to go hostel for lunch and do his homework...our principal used to do nothing jus because he was a nephew of an income tax officer ...(as per our knowledge)...do u think in this case the transfer is justified..?? i dont think so.The new rules help the CA in such cases ...The institute has already said that special cases will be considered for transfer...and the other case not only the pricipal but the students also have responsibility against the firm...what about that ???? can the principal whole and solely look after all of the articles ...He delegates the work to seniors....(at least in our firm...)....i have really seen many students who take the exam as a Graduate exam like BCOM. where all u do is pass...And As for my Last comment...it was in relation to What Tilak Sir commented in is second post here....

I dont think u r expecting anything wrong........but I think u r expecting too much from others.....without knowing them individually....we make up our mind quickly abt wht we want .....least bothering wht others wish.......every individual has different needs.....we hv to understand tht.....if somebody is like tht.......u cn just request.........u cant change him/her overnight.

i had just given my opinion.....i am not hurt by any of your comments..........bcoz everyone is here and is free to give his/her opinion or comments..........unless we share our opinions and unless opinions vary from each other....there would be no interest..........and there would be no generation of new ideas..........ok, it might be a problem with one firm or one student........but, for that the students all over India cannot suffer and everybody and anybody is bound to face some problems throughout his/her life...............so, why bother so much.......yes we can suggest anything for the betterment...........but we cannot support decisions taken hastily.........and I liked your humbleness very much.............keep it up......thts the best quality a person can have which takes him to new heights.

Harsh, I just saying that if you are in this profession then you have to respect this profession and all professionals in it.
If at the student stage you cannot give respect to this profession then at what time. I am not saying that all the CAs are good, there are good and bad in every field. Some behave nicely with Articles and some not. It does not mean that we will speak against them in this way. We have gone through this hard time of articleship at our time.........they will realise about it after completing their CA or articleship.

Thats what I m saying Tilak Sirji..........time is the best healer..........these young boys will learn with time........u cnt change them overnight.........u cn only suggest and just hope for the best........and one more thing........a lot depends on your family background and friends circle.........so lets just leave them the way they are...........we will guide them when they r wrong........but if they dont learn its their wish and their life.........we cant stop anybody from doing anything......after all India is independent in what sense we all know..........
