Forgot password with new mail & exisiting mobile is now not available under Forgot Password module.

Now option available are

1. Registered email & phone no.

2.New mail & phone : where i am not able verify using bank account as e-filed return. "Account no as return is a 11 digit numerls"

And they are showing invalid account no.

Hi Jyothis,

There are other option also available like details of 26AS, OLATS.

However if you are entering the Bank A/c No. and its is showing errorr means in the return some other bank A/c has been entered.

you may also reset the password using CIN of any tax payment challan or TAN of any person who has deducted tds

I have downloaded my last filed ITR where Account.

Under 13th Column

13 Enter your bank account number (mandatory in all cases) "105480217- - -" a 11 digit no. is used to test whether password recoverable using A/C no.

Bt still they are saying invalid Bank Account. (In forgot password module : they are saying to use Account no as per e-return.

Is there any specific format for same.

Last week i was able to reset password to new mai & registered mobile no.

Now option is not available in incometax website.

Not able to use 26AS option since password to login is not known, can any thing be done when Form 16A is available from deductor.

Option 1.If you have Internet Banking Login into that from there you download 26AS details, give TAN and Amount of TDS and Reset the Password

Option 2.Pay Tax of some amount,wait for the tax amount to be reflected in 26AS and then give Challan details and Reset the password

Option 3.Try answering the secret questions, give a try there is a chance of breaking a password

Option 4.File your IT return from Tax Cloud India without passowrd, after filing give the bank account No and Reset the Password and If you want to check 26AS before filing IT return, File the return showing some amount, reset the password, file revise return with correct details.
