all women /girls intersted in joining the course can do so. In effect 100% . no stupid question of reserveation.

This is not a rumour. It has been stated by our Corporate Affairs minister Salman Khurshid at the Chartered Accountants' Day celebrations organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Delhi.
He also added
Noting that there were not many women in the audience at Vigyan Bhavan, the Minister told a packed house that, “when in comes to the household budget, there is no one better than the lady of the house who holds the key to all finances. They are very good at budgeting. So, why not more women in the CA profession too? I would like the ICAI to ensure more representation of women in the CA profession.”
Of the 1.61 lakh CAs in the country, women account for only 15-20 per cent, ICAI sources said.

My views regarding this is that the minister is just saying for the promotion of CA profession for more womens to join the CA Course. And in the present world, we are seeing that not only in CA, but in other fields too womens participations are increasing and are welcomed, which is a good sign. So why there is a need for reservation.
However, having any reservation of something like 33% can't be done in my view. It is not possible to have such reservation where anybody can join and can clear the exams, so for reservation what they are asking..is totally non-understandable by me.
Well i wil like to know more about the professional knowledge and education of Mr. Khurshid.
What he meant by Reservation? is it for some political seats or some seats in college? Why is he comparing it with CA professions. Here anyone can join and clear out on the basis of the knowledge and expertise. Also who is responsible if the ICAi gives good results to fullfull his wish and later on they are not able to do anyting. I am not against the Women in CA profession or on any caste...
Politician just want reserved seats everywhere. And the shocking part is it is posted in our ICAI site only?
Now i can smell that there is decrease in importance of CA profession in India... Or else i will say it wont be a profession in the coming years....
Definately its not possible to have reservation of such kind, but noone should come to give such an opinion in public....

we dont need any reservations! At least CA profession shud be kept far from reservations. I REQUEST SALMAN KHURSHID NOT TO POKE HIS LARGE NOSE IN OUR AFFAIRS! STAY AWAY MINISTER.
