Is there any chance to claim deductions on expenses such as internet charges, mobile charges, books, software etc...

Income is chargeable to tax after deducting the expenditure incurred to make such income, except in case of winning from card games, etc., where no expenditure incurred is allowed to be deducted. But no specific deduction from Gross Total Income is available for above items.

No deduction is available for internet charges, mobile charges, etc. ... In fact Gross Total Income is computed after charging for such expenses in Profit & Loss account...
