My rental income is 50000 p.m from june to march 14 but my tenant has paid me rent only till february 14 and deducted TDS till Feb 14.

If I show my Income Till march 14 in the return but the TDS amount will not match

which amount will be taxable in this F/Y

Till feb 14    or    till march 14

Taxable amount ll be till march 14, sir you should wait for filing the return. Definately TDS ll be deducted by the tenant for march month.

Agreed with deepesh .... you need to talk to your tenant about it and ask him to deposit tds amount and file tds return accordingly

As per the IT Act, it is rent received or receivable. Therefore you have to show till march 2014. TDS is not your problem it is Tenants problem and his auditor

Sir please wait 15may sure your tenant deposit tds and file tds return, you have to consider march 14 rent in your income tax return.
You have a time up to 15.5.so better persue the tenant and file the return accordingly
It is required of you to show your rental income till march 2014, TDS deducted or not not deducted will be dealt in your ROI.if the tenant doesnt deduct the Tds from march's rent, there shouldn't be any problem for you, since you willshow gross amount of rent received or receivable and then deduct the TDS amount. So, you willremain indifferent to it. On the other hand your tenant might have to shell out some amount if he doesnt deducts and deposits TDS. to sum it up.....IT DOESNT MATTER

so , should i show only tds upto february 2014. it will not have any effect on my refund ?
