16 August 2016I HAVE COMMISSION INCOME OF 5.80 LACS IN 2012-13 AND 10.85 LACS IN 2013-14 . I FILLED IT RETURNS PROPERLY. AS I AM A COMMISSION AGENT , I AM LIABLE FOR SERVICE TAX ALSO BUT I DID NOT GET MYSELF REGISTER AND AS A RESULT NOW I GOT A NOTICE FROM SERVICE TAX DEPARTMENT TO SUBMIT ST RETURNS AND BOOKS OF ACCOUNT.
WHAT CAN I DO NOW?

above 9 lacs registration in service tax is to be done,
as you have exceeded 10 lacs, so you have lost the Small Service Provider Exemption also of 10 lacs,
now charge service tax to clients and pay to the department,
notice is serviced means they have collected data and there is hardly any chance to manage by book entry
