what is the limit of standard deduction on income under the head salary

for which assessment year?
instead of transport allowance and medical expenses which was all together 34200 before ...now the govt has given 40000
for Assessment year 2018-19 and 2019-20
40000 allowed as standard deduction for salaried person
is it related only to AY 2019-20
