My Job started in Sep' 11 and i moved to Metro City for this,
My query is .... Can i get exemption for Apr to Aug Rent which i gave in Bangalore.. ?

No, you can claim HRA for your employment period only.
Yes your previous employer can calculate the eligible HRA from April to August 2011 @ Bangalore and show the same in the Form 16.
rent paid by you has to be taken in to account while calculating Income Tax.
