Regular gst dealer can add work contract

You can continue with existing registration. ..... If you are registered as regular dealer , then can do any business under same Registration, there is no such restriction.

1. Yes... You can do it as per Your query.
2. Yes... You can continue the Retail Business and Also works contract in that single GST registration...
3. Yes... You can amend the Service & (Goods) details in Commodity columns if having place (only 5 list available).

4*** If You want another registration then Yes You can register as vertical line...

As per Corrigendum dated 5/2/2019 Vertical Registration has been abolished.

The Tax payer can Register with different GSTN with under Same Pan in same state

A registered person eligible to obtain separate Registration for business verticals may submit a separate Application in FORM GST REG-1 in report of each such vertical.

pls don't you understand that as per Amendment Act 31 of 2018 Business vertical Registration has been abolished from 1/2/2019.

And a person having multiple places of business in state or ut may grant a separate Registration for each such place .

So the concept of Vertical Registration is No more effective
