A newly form company takes Voluntary Registration under GST Act for its Headquarter and it has a branch in another state. Business not yet started & sales is nil
Question-
It is compulsory to take Registration for Branch also which is located in another state

If the business activities are done from that branch and the turnover exceeds the prescribed limit, then that branch also need to obtain registration. Although the H.O. and its branch shall be treated as Deemed Distinct Person.
