Sir,

Please clarify whether a distilled water (Used for Batteries) processing unit with no workers (Taken care by the owner & his family) need to register under Factories Act?

The plant uses electricity below 10 hp.

Yes, the registration is mandatory. It does not matter whether the procesing unit is being managed by family members. However, if the unit has less than 10 workers , no registration is required.
