We are working in a power generating company. Which has various power plants at different location. Stores and accounting units are also working to facilitate working of power houses.There is both types of purchase mechanism exist central and location specific. Now, we want to know what is appropriate way to register ourself for GST. We are currently liable to pay VAT,Entry Tax,
Service tax, Excise duty.

firstly whether you have received your provisional id and password from the local vat department then you have to create your user id and password in gst website.
when you create your user and password in the gst website then there are many details which you have to fill and attach the documents.you can also refer user manual and vedio tutorial specified in the help column in gst home page. gst website is www.gst.gov.in
