Registration of service tax

Please friends I want to know that I am student of CA (final) so I want to register a new Proprietership firm in Service Tax but I faced problem regaring it that I am not CA. So please suggest me.

Second thing is that this propritership is new and in the beginging want to register in the Service Tax so there is any requirement of invoice in this service. There is no any transaction start in this business from beginning they want it. Please suggest me.

I know the process of it but i dont know about the document which has to be submitted in the department. I am totally confused about it.

Service tax registration is compulsory only if the value of service rendered exceed 9 lakhs. go for registration process, if the turnover is expected for 9 lakhs or else there is no need for u to register.

Also payment of service tax is to be made, if the turnover exceed 10 lakhs.

But Sir problem is that without registration MNC company dont provide the contract on this regard. They told you should have service tax no. for this contract. I know very well that my turnover on this year is not gone around 3 lakh but for this contract I have to do it.

So now what can I do that is the question. Apart from the turnover.Its a voluntary. I know that this financial year is almost is to be end now but for this contact what can i do.

Give an undertaking to department thst you woukd not avail small service exemption further give c declaration that you have commen c ed business

Simply make application in ST-1 online through ACES portal, take print out and submit the same to the range office along with copy of PAN Card, Address proof and a declaration in prescribed format, if required.

You don't need to wait for turnover for getting registration. You can take voluntarily registration for the same by filing ST 1 online through ACES PORTAL and submit to Dept with required documents.

Mr. Manoj is right, first of all you need to file ST-1 & submit it your range dept. with pan card & address proof of proprietorship.ST-1 is submit through aces site where you need to register your proprietorship as a new user these registration is pan based.

Manoj is at correct.

But You have not need to register under service tax. You have to register under service tax when your taxable service turnover cross the limit of 9 lakh.

However you can go for registeration on voluntary basis.
