what are the procedure of registration of barnches in service tax? what are the papers required and the actual procedure in practise while doing so.

An application for registration has to be accompanied along with the following documents

1. Application in Form ST-1 in triplicate duly signed.

 

2. Attested copy of the PAN Card of the assessee.

 

3. Proof of address of the premises which needs to be registered.

 

4. Proof of residential addresses of proprietors/ partners/ directors.

 

5. Copy of document governing the constitution of the organisation. (MOA / Partnership deed etc)

 

6. Authority letter in favour of the person who is to collect the reistration certificate on the letter head of the organisation applyin for registeration.

 

7. Power of attorney/ Board resolutin in respect of the Authorised signatory, his name and address details where the documents are signed by an authorised representative.
