Registration and cancellation of RC in GST

Respected sir,
I have successfully migrated my firm in GST from VAT , now i don't wish to continue business anymore, please guide me as to whether into GST and then cancel registration from gst or just cancellation of RC under VAT would be sufficient for "Non registration under GST"
