can one pan be used for obtaining GST numbers for two different business at different place

Under GST multiple registrations can be obtained within a state for different business verticals.

As per model GST law, any person who is liable to registration shall obtain registration for each of the states where he has business operations. Such registration will cover all the premises within the state. Also if there are multiple business verticals, then different registrations can be obtained for each of the vertical, subject to few conditions on input tax credits utilisation.

can I know whether the person having textile n footwear business and department stores are considered are different verticals and separate registrations are required of they are controlled by an individual?
