registration

one of my client is a society where it is not registered... they are famers and do some irrigational projects... they are required to register under gst.... but there was no deed or by laws.. the only evidence they hav was the notice saying to create a joint bank account passed by the govt indicating president n vice President names... can that be enough for the registration?

No that can never be enough, first thing required for registration into any Tax is Permanent Account Number, so for registration into GST first step is to create a society or AOP or any other constitutional organisation and then take PAN on the name of that, only after that you can register into GST. As you are saying entity is society, so there must be any bye-laws you can complete the process by using that.
actually that was the problem.... they had not made any registration ofsociety... so now the registration of the society has to be made n then for gst registration?
Yes, this is the only procedure for registration into gst, you need to follow the same.
