Yes, it is very much possible to maintain  registers in computer rather than manual...

since the time has changed and for big corporates it is not possible to maintain registers manual.....

others views are solicited...

taking print outs periodically and binding the register is  necessary.

Taking print outs is necessary and u can just punch dem in a normal flat file also
