Regarding CDT

Corporate dividend tax is payable by a company- (a) on dividends declared, distributed or paid, OR (b) on dividend paid only ?? a or b which is correct ??

Dear Jai Kishan

Once the Company has declared divedend It means Company have to pay it.

Now the diffe is Its Claimed by the Shareholder or not but the company will tranfer full amount in the Bank Account for Dividend Payment.

CDT is payable on Dividend declared.

Thanks Nitin, can u also tell me at present an investor received dividend by cheque or it directly credited to account by depository.

Dear Jai Kishan

Basically its directly credited to the Shareholder's Accont but some Shareholders have Share Warrant so no transfer can be done oe some shareholders req for cheque.
