In normal course you can not file.
However you can apply to your jurisdictional AO or online e-filing site (under my accounts - Request) under 119(2)(b) for condonation of delay with genuine reasons and after it's approval you can file return.

in ITR just select section 119 and file your return...explain to AO if he selects your case for scrutiny...if he is not selecting then your return is through

NO OPTIONS FOR CONDONATION REQUEST IN ONLINE MODE FOR "NON-FILING OF ITR".
IF ANYBODY WILL FIND / APPLIED AS ABOVE PLEASE GIVE THE DETAILS WITH SCREEN SHOT.
