Refund of excess TDS paid

My client has wrongly paid excess amount under TDS/Interest on TDS. Will he be allowed to get credit of the same in next year or will he get refund?

How can he submit his e-TDS returns since software does not allow mismatching in amount payable under various section & amount paid.
