Refund income tax

Dear Experts

Sir,

One of the my clint having taxable income above ten lakh and they are not filing the ITR last 5 years and also not claim the refund amount i.e. above 2 lakhs per year.

Now my question how get the refund last 5 years if possible plz advise to us step by sept. Hope yoou earlier action in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Harender , without filing ITR, refund cannot be claimed......

For claiming refund you have to file ITR.

At least now file the ITR for AY 13-14 & AY 14-15. to claim refund.

itr filing for AY 13-14 & 14-15 is only possible now... file it as soon as possible and claim refund. for itr filing of periods nefore this, it can be done only in response to notice u/s 142(1). visit your AO and ask him to issue this notice for such years and then you could proceed with filing of return in response to such notice.... the AO may charge you with penalty of 5000 each year for non filing of return within due date.

Sir,

I know without filing ITR we can not got the Refud but my question can I filed the return last five years if can how it may be possible. We know that I can file the ITR only last two years but my clint refund amount Rs. 15 lacs last five years.

Guide to us how to treat the obligation in this regard.

i already gave you the solution. ask your AO to issue notice u/s 142(1) and then file return in response to such notice.

It is a valauable Idea but in this regard how many year ITR can be filed or AO Officer allow to us file the last five years ITR, it can be possible.

there is no limt mentioned as to how many years notice can be issued. this sec says that AO shall issue notice if income os chargeable to i.tax and in your case it is taxable for all 5 years. so AO can issue notice for all 5 years.
