27 August 2015My refund against Income Tax return filed in 2009-10 is still pending.
Recently I checked that all TDS as shown in the form16 by the bank is not updated in Form26AS.
The TDS deducted by post office has also not been posted.
I had shown the amount to be refunded in my return and had given all details of the form 16.
How can I claim this refund.

First ask all the deductors to file rectified TDS return.
Your 26AS STATEMENT SHOULD BE CLEAN WITH status F.
After the 26 AS statement is complete take a copy of 26 AS AND GIVE IT to your IT AO of your ward with a rectification request.
You should receive Refund after reassesment [time i cannot tell].
If the refund is less than 5000 then you can give a physical copy of form 16. But it is better to update the 26AS

Mr Rastogi - you need to act very fast.
is your refund less than 5000.
Please write a rectification request with notarized true copy of form 16.
Go to the AO and submit . Take acknowledgement on duplicate copy of letter.
Why I am telling this is - if the refund is less they will act on the basis of Form 16/Form 16A.
In mean while get 26AS updated fast and again goto AO and submit the same.
You will get refund after reassesment
