I went for a housing loan in IOB bank for 55L with a salary of 1.1L p.m and good CIBIL score the banker told to sale deed for 40L and balance for works contract as the apartment is a semi finished one. we did the same. The property is on the name of my mother and now registered on my and my husband name (40L). we paid stamp duty of 3.1L on friday 2023. We did everything as directed by the bank manager but one thing we misunderstood the word can go for registartion, and is we should not register but bank has to hypothicate the apartment to bank.
Now the banker is not ready to finance home loan and asked to go for mortgage loan which I cannot efford. IS it possible for the bank to refinance my apartment and convert the same to home loan . I visited few banks and hear the same. few banks are not ready as they say its property purchase from parents and loan cannot come. Can you clarify and suggest me
