i Mr. prathamesh kamat , an articled assistant, would like to know about the procedure for rectifying a mistake made in quoting Assessment Year in TDS challan while making e payment. i have quoted AY as 2009-10. where as it should have rightly been 2008-09.

you can revise the return and show the acknoledgement of challan
In the case of our client, the FY and AY mentioned in the returns filed are correct. The only mistake comitted is the quoting of incorrect AY in the challans. What is he to do now??

My client has deposited tds amount of different PAN no. in financial year 2006-07 & 07-08. and TDS certification is also issue in.My questation is:
1) Can rectification of deposited tds amount.
2) pls. advise any other solutation redarding problem.

Myself Sneha Rana and i want to know the procedure of rectifiying the A.Y. which has already quoted on the TDS challans or at the time of payment of the TDS challans i.e inspite of A.Y. 11-12, my client has quoted A.Y. 10-11.
