Rebate under section 80C

Sir that an amount for Rs 5.00 Lac has been invested in the senior citizen tax saving scheme by the the father of the assessee who is an senior citizen and a sum of Rs 150000/- has also invested in the same account by the assessee.Sir now I want to know that can the assessee claim the deduction under section 80C on account of amount invested in the account of his father.Thanks.
