i have filed my income tax return showing head of income as follws
long term capital gain exempt rs 8350/-
income from other sources rs 375000/-
deduction chapter VI-A rs 26000/-
as i am eligbal for Rebate U/s 87A of Rs 2500/-

Have you filed through portal Excel utility
Or may be any other software.
The rebate 87A is auto considered and in ITR filed by you , it must have been reflected also.
ITR should be showing 87A rebate of Rs 2500/-

Rebate available to resident individual if total income exceed 500000
amount of rebate = income tax payable or rs 12500 whichever is less.
(as per new amendment)

if individual having total income up to 5 lack will not ne required to pay any tax.

But total income above 5 lakhs --- No rebate at all
