We are getting Medical reimbursement equivalent to One month basic and da, would I be getting the benefit of deduction u/s 80D of the IT Act in respect of LIC's Health Plus Policy.

In A.Y 2008-09, the payment mode of 80D has been relaxed.
Now it can b availed in "any mode other than cash"
Also the Quantum of Deduction has Changed :
15000/- normally And
20000/- when Insurance Premium is on the health of a Senior Citizen.

yes,Claim 80D for 15000/- by making payment thru cheque.This have nothing to do with Medical Exp.Reiumbersement,
