Reasons for failure of income tax refund

There are some reasons for failure or non issuance of income tax refund

1.  Address related issue:

• If refund cheque is dispatched at the wrong address.
• If there is no concerned person at the address where refund cheque is dispatched.
• If the refund cheque dispatched was returned as undelivered since the house was locked.
• If the assessee has been shifted from particular address where refund cheque was dispatched.

2. Refund Cheque related issue:

• Your refund cheque has been expired.
